Matthew Davis
Assistant Chief Davis is a fourth-generation resident of lee county. Growing up, he has had many friends and family members that were members of the various Lee County fire agencies, and because of this, he knew early on that this was the profession he wanted to pursue. Matt is a proud husband to his high school sweetheart and father of 2. Starting his career with the Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District in 2006, Matt has been able to work his way through the ranks utilizing hard work, determination, and dedication to the community.
Education has always been an important part of the fire service as it better prepares personnel to handle the challenges associated with this profession. Assistant Chief Davis currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in public safety administration. This position will allow him to pass on this knowledge and mold the next generation of firefighters/department leaders, by maintaining a professional level of standards and training that have been tailored to meet the demands of this unique community
