Please read before applying for a burning permit.

The Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District can suspend burning at anytime. Burns may not be a nuisance to neighbors or produce heavy smoke. If you still have questions please contact us from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. at Station One (239) 283-0030.
Information we need from you:

• Your permit number (if applicable)
• Your name
• The address of the burn location
• A phone number at which we can contact you
• Size and type of burn (pit, pile, etc.) 

Please call for each day you are burning and remember to extinguish the fire 1 hour before sunset.
